Publish from Capture One

Send processed JPEG and TIFF files from Capture One on Mac or Windows straight into the product shots a merchant assigned to you in Sirv AI Studio.

The Sirv AI Studio plug-in for Capture One sends processed JPEG and TIFF files from Capture One into the product shots a merchant assigned to you. You keep your edits and export settings in Capture One. Studio checks each file, and the merchant reviews it as if you had uploaded it in the supplier portal.

The plug-in is free to download.

Who can use this: suppliers in a merchant's supplier portal. You need a supplier account with upload access, which the merchant gives you with the invitation. Owners and Admins of the merchant's workspace can connect to see the products, but they cannot publish. The supplier portal is part of the Growth and Enterprise plans.

Download

Platform Download Version
Mac Sirv AI Studio for Capture One (.dmg) 0.2.0
Windows Not available for download yet. Ask us for it on the contact page.

The Mac disk image is signed and notarized by Apple. Its SHA-256 checksum is 21d80543234b92ea71b1d777d1ed4cbf6dbf04c877661467ba6d2f3308b9d145.

Install the plug-in

On a Mac:

  1. Download the disk image and open it.
  2. In Capture One, go to Settings > Plugins.
  3. Select +, then choose SirvStudioCaptureOnePublisher.coplugin from the disk image.
  4. Restart Capture One.

On Windows:

  1. In Capture One, go to Edit > Preferences > Plugins.
  2. Select +, then choose the .coplugin file.

Capture One copies the plug-in into its own plug-ins folder. You do not need developer tools.

Connect to Studio

  1. Open the plug-in settings: Settings > Plugins > Sirv AI Studio on a Mac, or Edit > Preferences > Plugins > Sirv AI Studio on Windows.
  2. Check Studio address. It comes set to the right address, so change it only if we ask you to.
  3. Optionally, type a SKU or product name in the product filter to load only those products.
  4. Select Connect. Your browser opens the Studio sign-in page.
  5. Sign in with your supplier account. Check the workspace name and the permissions on the consent page, then allow access.
  6. Go back to Capture One. The status shows Connected.
  7. Select Refresh destinations to load your assigned products and their shots. On Windows, select Refresh status when the refresh ends to see the result.

[!IMPORTANT] The consent page uses the account that is signed in to Studio in your browser. If you are signed in as someone else, sign out of Studio in the browser first, then select Connect again.

Refresh destinations after the merchant assigns new products or changes a shot list. The plug-in keeps the first 100 matching products. If you have more, narrow the product filter. The status tells you when products are left out.

Name your files

Studio finds the product and the shot from each file name. Name each output <SKU>_<shot>.<extension>, for example SHOE-1_main.jpg and SHOE-1_side.jpg. The shot part is the shot's file name part from the merchant's shot list.

Set this name in your Capture One process recipe, so every export gets it.

Publish files

By file name sends each file to the product and shot in its name. Use it for a batch.

  1. Select the variants in Capture One.
  2. Start the publish:
    • On a Mac, open the Export menu in the toolbar, then choose Publish > Publish to Sirv AI Studio. Leave Map files set to By filename.
    • On Windows, right-click a selected thumbnail, then choose Publish to Sirv AI Studio by filename.
  3. Choose JPEG or TIFF processing settings.
  4. Select Publish.

Studio checks every file name before the first upload. If one name has no match, matches more than one product, names a product that is not assigned to you, or two files point at the same shot, nothing uploads. The message lists each file with its problem. Fix the names and publish again.

One file to one shot sends a single file to a shot you choose. Use it when a file name does not follow the pattern.

  1. Select one variant.
  2. Start the publish:
    • On a Mac, choose Publish to Sirv AI Studio, then set Map files to One file to one shot.
    • On Windows, right-click the thumbnail, then choose Publish one file to a Sirv AI Studio shot.
  3. Type a name or SKU in Find product, then choose the product and the shot. Product thumbnails help you pick the right one.
  4. Check the Publishing to: line. It shows the product and the shot that get the file.
  5. Select Publish.

The plug-in shows only shots that are free. A shot that already has a file is not in the list.

Check the result

When a batch ends, Capture One shows one line with the result, such as how many files were committed, failed or not attempted. A file that is committed is in Studio. It still goes through the merchant's checks and review, so committed does not mean approved.

Select Show publish receipts in the plug-in settings to open the full receipt. It lists every file with its product, shot and result. The receipt has no passwords or upload links, but it does have file names and Studio IDs, so read it before you share it.

Some problems stop only one file, such as a shot that another upload filled first. Others stop the batch, such as a lost connection or a Studio outage. Files after the stop show as not attempted. Publish them again when the problem is gone.

Recover uploads after an interruption

If Capture One closes or the connection drops during an upload, Studio may have the file without a confirmation. The receipt shows those files as awaiting confirmation.

Do not publish those files again yet. Connect with the same account and workspace, then select Reconcile earlier uploads in the plug-in settings. The plug-in asks Studio about each file and updates the original receipt.

Forget local recovery (no remote undo) stops tracking those files on your computer. It does not remove anything from Studio, and a later publish can create a duplicate. Use it only when you know what happened to the files.

Disconnect, update or remove the plug-in

  • Disconnect removes the sign-in from your computer and asks Studio to end the connection. The status tells you if Studio did not confirm it.
  • To update, disconnect, then install the new .coplugin with +. Capture One replaces the old version. On a Mac, restart Capture One and connect again. On Windows, the connection stays.
  • To remove, disconnect first, then remove Sirv AI Studio in the plug-in list. Receipts and recovery records stay on your computer, so you can still check earlier uploads.
